While JD Vance was busy trying to bolster Viktor Orban’s election campaign, Donald Trump Jr., the eldest son of US President Donald Trump, arrived in Banja Luka, the capital of Republika Srpska, the Serbian entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Igor Dodik, an official of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD) and the son of the party’s leader, Milorad Dodik, told the Srna news agency that Trump Jr. is coming at “his personal invitation and on a friendly basis.”

N1 reported that during a panel discussion in Banja Luka, Donald Trump Jr. called the countries of Eastern Europe “the last hope for Europe”, criticizing Western countries that allowed excessive migration, especially France and Great Britain, which he called “Muslim countries”.
“People who are ready to fight in Eastern Europe for those values, who are fighting to preserve the traditions that they value and that are very aligned with America, those people should get support,” Trump Jr. said.
“God only knows, between the fraud of the American Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Soros Foundation, and the billions of dollars that enter those countries against individuals. You saw the same thing in your neighborhood in Serbia. I’m sure the same thing happened here and, obviously, in Hungary,” he pointed out.
“I think everyone watching, everyone involved must do whatever it takes to go to the polls and make sure the communists don’t take over Hungary, because if Hungary falls, the vast majority of Eastern Europe will too. I think he’s one of the real fighters in the region, more than most, and I think those people should get support,” Donald Trump Jr. concluded.

There is a belief among the Bosnian Serbs that any high-profile figure they rub shoulders with will help their “cause” of saving themselves from the imaginary suffering they believe they endure in Bosnia.
At the same time, Vance launched a tirade aimed at the European Union during his speech in Budapest.
“Foreign election interference…The bureaucrats in Brussels have tried to destroy the economy of Hungary. They have tried to make Hungary less energy independent!
“They have tried to drive up costs for Hungarian consumers. And they’ve done it all because they hate this guy [Orban].
“We think the amount of interference that’s come from the bureaucracy in Brussels has been truly disgraceful
“I won’t tell the people of Hungary how to vote. I would encourage the bureaucrats in Brussels to do the exact same thing.”

Meanwhile, in reality, the Hungarian kleptocracy is the welfare queen of the European Union. Without EU funds, they’d be toast.
Maybe the EU should take Vance’s advice and stop this horrific interference while also stopping funding. Wouldn’t that be rad? Not to mention that support from figures such as Vance could produce unintended consequences for the recipient of “support”.
